Texting teen charged with vehicular homicide


Police are charging a 16-year-old boy who was texting while driving with involuntary manslaughter after he allegedly caused an accident which killed a Mechanicsburg woman several months ago.

Investigators say the teen driver crossed the center line of the road he was driving on around 2 p.m. along the 400 block of the Gettysburg Pike on June 15th.

The victim, Gia Glinatsis, 37, was killed after her car collided with the boys before hitting a tree, police said.

Glinatsis died at the scene of the accident.

Police are charging the teenage boy with several counts including  homicide by vehicle and texting while driving.
