Two Teens Seriously Injured in Missouri Car Accident


Early in the morning on Sunday, May, 10, two teen males were seriously injured after being involved in a car accident in Columbia, Missouri. The victims in the accident were a 17-year-old male from Sturgeon, Missouri, and an 18-year-old male of Columbia, Missouri.

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor of the auto accident that occurred when the driver lost control of a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire. The driver was merging onto Interstate 70 East when they lost control and traveled into the grass median on the north side of the road before flipping onto its roof.

While the teens suffered serious injuries, it is believed they are non-life threatening. Both of them were taken to University Hospital after the car accident.
