Massachusetts Woman Dies in Drunken Driving Accident

In Hyannis, Massachusetts early in the morning on May 10, 2009, a woman pulled into the road and was immediately struck by a 23-year-old drunk driver.

The drunk driver was allegedly drinking at a nearby bar all night and had gotten into their car. As they were heading down the road, the woman apparently pulled out in front of them, but because of his inebriation, the other driver was not able to slow in time and collided with the driver’s side the woman’s car.

The drunk driver suffered a broken leg and the passenger in his car suffered a broken nose, but the woman died as a result of her injuries in the auto accident.

Auto accidents can be incredibly traumatic experiences. If you or a loved one has been involved in an auto accident, bus accident, or motorcycle accident, you may be able to recover compensation for your losses. Drunken driving accidents add to the thousands of accidents that maim and kill people every year. Though these types of accidents can happen at any time of the day, they are most likely to occur late in the evening or in the very early morning hours as people leave the bars after consuming alcohol. This does not make the thought of trying to get compensation any easier, but sometimes this is the only kind of justice some people can hope for.
