Sean Kingston Injured in Jet Ski Accident

On the evening of Sunday, May 29, hip-hop star Sean Kingston and a female companion were jet skiing at Miami Beach when they collided with the Palm Indigo Bridge. Both the star and his friend landed in the water and were rescued by a passing boater who tended to them until Miami Beach Fire Rescue arrived. The pair was transported to the Jackson Ryder Trauma Center in Miami around 6 pm.

Officials looking into the jet ski accident have ruled out alcohol as a cause. More likely the accident was the result of reckless driving, which contributes to 9 out of 10 personal watercraft accidents, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.

Twenty-one year old Kingston rose to fame with the hit single “Beautiful Girls” in 2007 and has since produced many more hits, including his recent collaboration with Justin Bieber on the song “Eenie Meenie.”

On Monday, May 30, Kingston’s publicist announced that his condition was stable. However, he suffered from getting water in his lungs and a bone fracture in his jaw. A week after the accident, Kingston was able to walk for the first time, and though his injuries retain the status of “serious,” he is expected to make a full recovery in about 6 weeks.

If you have been injured in a jet ski accident, you may be entitled to compensation for your injuries. It is important to seek the guidance of an experienced attorney who can help handle your claim and get you the compensation you deserve.
