17 Students Injured in Bus Accident

 

A fatal bus accident in Florida took the life of one man, while many others were injured. The man who died was driving an Isuzu which crashed into the bus. The bus driver was seriously injured, and 17 of the students on the bus suffered minor injuries in the accident occurring yesterday morning.

There were between 35 and 40 students on the bus. The injuries sustained by the 17 students were fairly minor, ranging from neck pain to scrapes and bruises. The bus driver’s legs were pinned beneath the steering column after the front end of the bus was severely damaged during the bus accident. The Isuzu was totaled.

The driver of the Isuzu died after being admitted to a local hospital for treatment. The bus driver and injured students were also taken to nearby hospitals for medical assistance.

The bus accident is currently under investigation by the Florida Highway patrol. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined. However, if the bus driver is ultimately deemed at fault, the bus company and the driver may be held liable in a wrongful death lawsuit.
