Driver Hits Dead Deer, Dies in Ensuing Car Accident
A man in Michigan died in a car accident after his vehicle collided with a dead deer on the highway. After hitting the deer, the vehicle rolled over and landed on the side of the road.
The driver was heading north on U.S. 131 at the time of the rollover accident. It was about 3:30 am when he hit the dead deer. Witnesses indicated that the driver lost control of the vehicle after crashing into the deer, causing the car to veer off the road at a high speed. It hit a large tree before rolling into a ditch on the side of the road.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 21 years old. Police say he was wearing his seat belt when the car accident occurred, and he did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol. Investigators at the scene believe that the deer was killed earlier in the evening by another driver.
