ReNu Recall Lawyers

Use of ReNu with MoistureLoc, a brand of contact lens cleaning solution, has been linked to the recent global rise in fungal eye infections. Bausch & Lomb, the manufacturer of ReNu, has put in place a permanent worldwide recall and recommended that consumers stop using its product at once. Meanwhile, users of the product have suffered serious eye injuries from permanent damage to the cornea to blindness.

In May 2006, the FDA announced that Bausch & Lomb had failed to notify them of 35 cases of serious fungal eye infections from the use of ReNu reported in Asia in February of the same year. Bausch & Lomb continues to deny the allegation.

Bausch & Lomb has already been blamed for 122 confirmed cases of fusarium keratitis, a rare fungal infection that causes severe eye irritation. The FDA and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) are investigating hundreds fungal infection cases, and hundreds more could surface. Over 30 million Americans wear soft contact lenses.

If you or a loved one has suffered an eye injury after using ReNu with MoistureLoc, you should schedule an eye exam with an ophthalmologist immediately. If you delay diagnosis and treatment, you or your loved one may risk irreparable eye damage.

You should also not delay in seeking potentially substantial financial damages for physical and emotional pain associated with you or your loved one’s injury. Claims are subject to time limits, or statutes of limitations, and you may be denied compensation if you wait too long before asserting your claim.
