What a Personal Injury Client Wants From their Attorney
Most personal injury attorneys have a good idea what their clients expect from them. Here are 3 key things that clients should expect from their attorney.
1. A personal injury client comes to an attorney for results. Some have suffered terrible injuries that have significantly changed their life. An attorney is expected to get the insurance company to pay money to make up for their plight.
But ultimately if the case is not resolved by settlement it will have to be tried.
So what a personal injury attorney needs to be is a trial attorney. This implies they must be a hard worker. All they can control is the effort and their experience.
2. An attorney must be a communicator. To their client first and foremost. The client needs to understand what to expect in the procedure of a claim, the time frames and what is the attorney's honest assessment of their case and what would be fair compensation. And then of course a injury and accident attorney must effectively communicate to the insurance company, their attorney, the judge and ultimately a jury.
3. Finally an attorney must listen to the client. Take some time to build a personal relationship with them . Not every client is going to be your friend, but for the time that you are together you need to show your client that you care about them . We always must remember that it is an honor to represent a client and an awesome responsibility.
Here is a video I prepared to let clients see who I am, what motivates me and what separates me from other attorneys.
