Boston Transportation Accident Injures 50 - Wednesday, May 13, 2009

Two Boston city trolleys collided on the evening of Friday, May 8, injuring 50 passengers on board both trains. The manager of the Metropolitan Boston Transit Authority (MBTA) stated on Saturday that none of the injuries were very serious and that it is believed the train accidents were a result of text messaging.

Daniel Grabauskas, the manager of the MBTA said the driver of one of the trolley cars was text messaging while driving the trolley between the Government Center Station and the Park Street Station in downtown Boston. The driver of the trolley was allegedly texting on his phone, looked up, and was unable to apply the brake in time to stop before hitting another trolley car.

If you have been involved in an accident while on public transportation, you may be able to recover compensation for your injuries.
